Center For Disease Control Lowers Recommended Lead-Level Limits in Children

High lead levels in young children have been found to affect cognitive development and may lead to a lower I.Q.  New standard is for children under 6, lowering threshold to 5 micrograms of lead per deciliter of blood, from 10 micrograms per deciliter. Infant lead poisoning cases are an important area of our New York law practice.
